Concerti itineranti tra Belfort, Savogno e Dasile
22-23-24 AGOSTO
Sostenuta dal Comune di Piuro e dall'Associazione Piuro Cultura la seconda edizione del festival di Nuova Musica a Piuro propone alla comunità e ai suoi visitatori una tre giorni di concerti nel mese di agosto, facendo tappa anche in luoghi di mezza montagna.
Come un volo il suono del festival risale i pendii della montagna e si propaga da Belfort a Savogno e da Savogno a Dasile lasciando eco di sè alle cime e alla valle tutta. Si dedica uno spazio alla ricerca, all'improvvisazione e alla musica nuova, ovvero alla musica contemporanea, che non é per forza sinonimo di musica "di nicchia" ma anzi raggiungibile da chiunque desideri farsi raggiungere da essa, musica che semplicemente vive della linfa del presente con le sue molteplici innovazioni. Allo stesso modo il festival dedica uno spazio anche alla tradizione e quest'anno ci addentreremo anche nella musica corale e nella musica tradizionale giapponese.
Ala Bianca Festival ritiene che il suono di per sé abbia una sua profonda natura e forza, in grado di creare dimensioni altre arricchendo e nutrendo gli animi di chi si abbandona ad esso, in uno scambio reciproco tra musicista ed ascoltatore, tra il ricevere e il donare, ponendo al centro del discorso un aspetto cardine e assai raro: l'ascolto.

CONCERTO PER PERCUSSIONI PREPARATE

Toma Gouband (nato il 15 novembre 1976 a Manosque, Francia) è un batterista francese all'avanguardia, musicista, improvvisatore, inventore e ricercatore. L'approccio artistico di Gouband combina la composizione strutturata con l'improvvisazione, spesso concentrandosi su contesti specifici per creare esperienze sonore immersive e ritualistiche.
In seguito a un'esperienza di trasformazione in un villaggio pigmeo Baka in Camerun, Gouband si è dedicato alla padronanza del litofono, un antico strumento che produce suoni attraverso la vibrazione di pietre risonanti accuratamente selezionate.
Gouband seleziona meticolosamente le pietre per le loro qualità sonore uniche, creando un ponte tra le pratiche antiche e l'esplorazione sonora contemporanea. Ha anche sviluppato dei “litofoni vegetali”, integrando con piante e altri elementi naturali per ampliare la sua tavolozza sonora.
La pratica artistica di Gouband è fortemente influenzata dalla sua passione per numeri, proporzioni e poliritmi. Ha sviluppato sistemi aritmetici e geometrici basati sulla matematica modulare per comprendere e visualizzare queste interazioni ritmiche. La sua ricerca osserva la presenza onnipresente dei poliritmi nei processi sia naturali che celesti. Tiene regolarmente workshop incentrati sulla sperimentazione e l'ascolto profondo, incoraggiando i partecipanti a esplorare il potenziale sonoro dei materiali presenti nei propri paesaggi. Toma Gouband ha ricevuto il plauso della critica per il suo approccio originale alle percussioni e il suo lavoro è spesso descritto come immersivo, esperienziale e visto come un rituale o una cerimonia.
Il 22 agosto avremo il grande piacere di ascoltarlo tra le rocce e le mura suggestive di Belfort.
Il concerto si terrà dunque nello spazio della Godenda di Belfort ,spazio coperto che rende possibile il concerto anche in caso di pioggia.

KARIN NAKAGAWA
CONCERTO PER KOTO E VOCE

Karin Nakagawa è un'artista giapponese pluripremiata e di successo internazionale. È nata in una famiglia musicale a Tokyo e da tanti anni vive in Europa. Ha iniziato a prendere lezioni di pianoforte all'età di tre anni. A dodici anni in poi si è dedicata allo studio del raro koto a 25 corde (cetra giapponese arcuata) sotto la guida della rinomata professoressa Keiko (Sōju) Nosaka. Inoltre, Karin si è laureata presso la nota Tokyo University of Arts in musica tradizionale giapponese e col tempo ha iniziato a collaborare con numerosi artisti internazionali. Vincitrice del premio „Miglior Debuttante in Musica” in Giappone nel 2009, Karin ha assunto la direzione musicale per varie produzioni organizzate dalla Japan Foundation, inclusi progetti in Svezia, Africa e Sud-Est Asiatico. Oltre a numerosi CD internazionali, Karin ha pubblicato il suo primo album con la prestigiosa etichetta ECM Records nel 2015, intitolato „Trees of Light,” per il quale ha ricevuto il „Premio Grammy Svedese” in un trio con Lena Willemark e Anders Jormin. Più recentemente, Karin si è affermata nel campo del teatro per bambini, con le sue storie e scenografie poetiche. Oggi il suo repertorio spazia dalla musica tradizionale giapponese —il suono del vento, della pioggia e della piantagione del riso— alla musica classica, jazz e pop, fino all'avanguardia.
il 23 agosto la magia e potenza della tradizione giapponese, insieme a tutta la ricerca e innovazione che Karin Nakagawa ha attraversato nel suo percorso artistico, ci incanterà.

UT insieme vocale-consonante è un gruppo vocale “modulare” che va dall’ensemble madrigalistico al coro da camera.
Guidato da Lorenzo Donati, propone progetti tematici di musica antica e contemporanea
Dal 2015 il gruppo registra il cd Pulchra ut luna, electa ut sol che propone brani tratti dal Cantico dei Cantici e diversi Agnus Dei. Sempre nel 2015 Ut Insieme vocale-consonante si aggiudica il primo premio al Concorso corale Internazionale a Varna (Bulgaria) e nel maggio del 2016 vince il prestigioso Gran Premio Europeo (EGP). Si tratta del primo coro italiano che in 28 edizioni raggiunge tale traguardo, considerato il più importante riconoscimento mondiale nell’ambito della musica corale.
UT insieme vocale-consonante ha al suo attivo collaborazioni con direttori conosciuti a livello internazionale, quali B. Boterf, J. Busto, N. Corti, B. Holten, U. Lah, R. Rasmussen, G. Graden, S.Connolly, P.Broadbent.
L’ensemble è stato invitato ad esibirsi in Italia e nel mondo: Festival des Choeurs Lauréats (Avignone e Vaison-la-Romaine), MiTo settembre musica (Milano e Torino), Incontro Polifonico Internazionale Città di Fano (PU), Concorso Polifonico Guido d'Arezzo, Rezia Cantat (Chiavenna, SO), Salerno Festival, CantaBO, nel 2019 è stato chiamato in qualità di coro ospite ad aprire la 48esima Edizione del Concorso corale Internazionale Florilège Vocale de Tours, sempre nel 2019 è stato ospite al Taipei International Choral Festival, con concerti a Taiwan e Pechino.
Avremo la grande opportunità di sentire il loro canto risuonare tra i borghi di Dasile e Savogno.

Concerts between Belfort, Savogno, and Dasile

Supported by the Municipality of Piuro and the Association, the second edition of the New Music Festival in Piuro offers to the community and its visitors three days of concerts in August, including stops in mid-mountain locations.
Like a flight, the sound of the festival ascends the mountain slopes and spreads from Belfort, ruins of an ancient villa in Piuro, to Savogno and from Savogno to Dasile, both ancient mountain villages of Piuro, Savogno 932 mt and Dasile 1050 mt above sea level, echoing across the peaks and the entire valley. Space is dedicated to research, improvisation, and new music—that is, contemporary music, which is not necessarily music for the few but rather accessible to anyone who wishes to be touched by it— music that simply lives on the energy of the present with its many innovations. Likewise, the festival also dedicates space to tradition, and this year we'll delve into choral music and traditional Japanese music.
Ala Bianca Festival believes that sound itself has a deep nature and power, capable of creating other dimensions, enriching and nourishing the souls of those who surrender to it, in a mutual exchange between musician and listener, between receiving and giving, placing a key and very rare aspect at the center of the discussion: listening.

Toma Gouband (born November 15, 1976 in Manosque, France) is a French avant-garde drummer, musician, improviser, inventor, and researcher. Gouband's artistic approach combines structured composition with improvisation, often focusing on specific contexts to create immersive and ritualistic sound experiences.
Following a transformative experience in a pygmy Baka village in Cameroon, Gouband dedicated himself to mastering the lithophone, an ancient instrument that produces sounds through the vibration of carefully selected resonant stones.
Gouband meticulously selects stones for their unique sonic qualities, creating a bridge between ancient practices and contemporary sound exploration. He has also developed “plant lithophones,” integrating plants and other natural elements to expand his sound palette.
Gouband's artistic practice is strongly influenced by his passion for numbers, proportions and polyrhythms. He has developed arithmetic and geometric systems based on modular mathematics to understand and visualize these rhythmic interactions. His research observes the ubiquitous presence of polyrhythms in both natural and celestial processes. Toma Gouband has received critical acclaim for his original approach to percussion, and his work is often described as immersive, experiential, and seen as ritual or ceremony.
On August 22nd, we will have the great pleasure of listening to him among the rocks and evocative walls of Belfort.
The concert will be held in the Godenda - Belfort, a covered space that allows the concert to be held even in case of rain.

KARIN NAKAGAWA

Karin Nakagawa is an award-winning and internationally successful Japanese artist. She was born into a musical family in Tokyo and has lived in Europe for many years. She began taking piano lessons at the age of three. At age twelve onward, she devoted herself to the study of the rare 25-string koto (Japanese bowed zither) under the guidance of renowned professor Keiko (Sōju) Nosaka. In addition, Karin graduated from the renowned Tokyo University of Arts in traditional Japanese music and in time began collaborating with numerous international artists. Winner of the “Best Debut in Music” award in Japan in 2009, Karin has taken on music direction for various productions organized by the Japan Foundation, including projects in Sweden, Africa, and South East Asia. In addition to numerous international CDs, Karin released her first album with the prestigious ECM Records label in 2015, entitled “Trees of Light,” for which she received the “Swedish Grammy Award” in a trio with Lena Willemark and Anders Jormin. More recently, Karin has established herself in the field of children's theater with her poetic stories and sets. Today her repertoire ranges from traditional Japanese music - the sound of wind, rain, and rice planting - to classical, jazz, and pop music, to avant-garde.
On August 23rd, the magic and power of Japanese tradition, together with all the research and innovation that Karin Nakagawa has undergone in her artistic career, will enchant us.

UT insieme vocale-consonante is a “modular” vocal group that ranges from madrigal ensemble to chamber choir. Led by Lorenzo Donati, it offers thematic projects of ancient and contemporary music. In 2015, the group recorded the CD "Pulchra ut luna, electa ut sol" which features pieces from the "Cantico dei Cantici" and several Agnus Dei. Also in 2015 Ut Insieme vocale-consonante won first prize at the International Choral Competition in Varna (Bulgaria) and in May 2016 won the prestigious European Grand Prix (EGP). This is the first Italian choir in 28 editions to reach this milestone, which is considered the world's most important award in the field of choral music. UT insieme vocale-consonante ensemble has to its credit collaborations with internationally known conductors such as B. Boterf, J. Busto, N. Corti, B. Holten, U. Lah, R. Rasmussen, G. Graden, S.Connolly, P.Broadbent.
The ensemble has been invited to perform in Italy and around the world: Festival des Choeurs Lauréats (Avignon and Vaison-la-Romaine), MiTo Settembre musica (Milan and Turin), Incontro Polifonico Internazionale Città di Fano (PU), Guido d'Arezzo Polyphonic Competition, Rezia Cantat (Chiavenna, SO), Salerno Festival. In 2019 the ensemble was a guest choir to open the 48th Edition of the Florilège Vocale de Tours International Choral Competition, also in 2019 he was a guest at the Taipei International Choral Festival, with concerts in Taiwan and Beijing.
We'll have the wonderful opportunity to hear their music resonate through the villages of Dasile and Savogno.
